Welcome to Camp Mikell Summer 2022!  We are excited about the coming summer, and we’re figuring out how to safely have camp.  During our December 2021 Mikell Board of Governor’s retreat, a policy was passed for a vaccination requirement for all those who attend camp during the summer of 2022.  This includes permanent staff, summer staff, counselors, nurses and Deans staff.

The main reason for this new policy is to continue something we always strive for at Mikell, and that is SAFETY!  We know that your camper’s safety is a priority for each of you, as it is for us.  Also with vaccinations, we will have the possibility of allowing more campers to attend this summer and the ability to eat in the dining hall again.

With the ever-evolving pandemic, it is too early to decide what additional precautions may be needed this summer, but we do want to let you know that being fully vaccinated will be required.   Of course, what “fully vaccinated” means may change between now and this summer as well.

We wanted to let you know of this requirement as you make plans for the summer and to give plenty of time to get the vaccinations completed. Thank you for your understanding and support of Mikell.
